Have you ever felt like…
what used to help you feel close to God…
just isn’t working anymore?
The same routines.
The same quiet time.
The same effort.
But something feels… off.
Not because you stopped loving God.
Not because you’ve walked away from your faith.
But because what used to feel natural…
now feels harder than it should.
And that disconnect?
It can be really unsettling.
Because you don’t necessarily know what changed…
you just know something did.

You’re Still Trying—But It Feels Different Now
Here’s what I see happen so often…
You’re still showing up.
You still believe.
You still want a real relationship with God.
You still care deeply about your faith.
But your experience feels different than it used to.
Maybe your quiet time feels repetitive instead of life-giving.
Maybe prayer feels more like something you’re trying to “get through.”
Maybe you open your Bible… and nothing really lands the way it used to.
Or maybe it’s not one big thing…
It’s just this quiet sense that something feels harder, heavier, or inconsistent.
And because you don’t have a clear explanation for it…
your mind starts trying to fill in the gaps.
So you start wondering…
“What’s wrong with me?”

The Lie We Tell Ourselves About Why It’s Hard
Most women I talk to land in the same conclusion:
“I just need to be more disciplined.”
“I need to get back on track.”
“I need to try harder.”
So you do what you’ve been taught to do.
- You look for a new system.
- A new devotional.
- A new plan to follow.
You tell yourself,
“This time I’m going to stick with it.”
But here’s what quietly happens…
You start putting pressure on yourself to perform in your faith.
And instead of feeling connected…
you start feeling behind.
Instead of feeling grounded…
you start feeling like you’re constantly catching up.
And instead of your faith being something that fuels your life…
it starts to feel like something you’re trying to manage.
What If It’s Not About Discipline at All?
But what if the issue isn’t your effort?
What if it’s not that you need more discipline…
but that the way you’ve been trying to grow
no longer fits your life
or your design?
Because here’s something we don’t talk about enough:
Faith becomes difficult when there’s a mismatch.
A mismatch between:
- how you’re trying to grow
- and how God actually designed you to connect with Him
And when that mismatch exists… everything takes more effort than it should.
You feel like you’re pushing uphill.
You feel like you’re starting over more often than you’d like.
And you begin to question whether you’re doing something wrong.
But it may not be wrong…
It may just not fit anymore.
This is exactly why I created the Faith Shape Quiz—
to help you see how you’re naturally wired to connect with God,
so you can stop forcing what doesn’t fit.

Why One-Size-Fits-All Faith Stops Working
Most of us were given a version of faith that looked like this:
Read your Bible this way.
Pray this way.
Have your quiet time this way.
And for a season… that may have worked.
But life changes.
Your responsibilities shift.
Your capacity changes.
Your environment looks different.
And sometimes… you’ve grown.
What once felt meaningful…
now feels limiting.
But instead of recognizing that growth…
we assume we’ve lost something.
When in reality…
we may just need a different way to engage.
The Missing Piece: How You’re Designed to Grow
This is where everything begins to shift.
Because instead of asking:
“What should I be doing?”
You start asking:
“How did God design me to grow?”
And that question changes everything.
Because God didn’t just design your purpose…
He designed your process.
- He designed how you connect.
- How you engage.
- How you experience Him.

A New Way to Understand Your Faith
One of the simplest ways to begin seeing this…
is through what we see in Mark 12:30:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and soul, and mind, and strength.”
But most people were only ever taught one way to live that out.
One expression.
One rhythm.
One expectation.
When in reality…
there are different ways we naturally connect with God.
Some women are:
- 🧡Heart-led — they connect deeply through relationship, emotion, and meaning
- 💚Soul-led — they connect through reflection, creativity, and inner depth
- 🔵Mind-led — they connect through understanding, structure, and truth
- 🟥Strength-led — they connect through action, movement, and doing
And here’s what’s important:
None of these are better than the others.
But one of them is usually more natural for you.
And when your faith practices don’t align with that…
everything starts to feel forced.
What Happens When Your Faith Finally Fits
But when you begin to understand your design…
something shifts.
You stop trying to force yourself into routines that drain you.
You stop comparing your faith to what works for someone else.
You stop feeling like you’re constantly behind.
And instead… your faith starts to feel like something you can actually sustain.
It becomes:
- more natural
- more consistent
- more integrated into your everyday life
Not something you have to “add on”…
but something that flows with how you live.
And that’s where real growth begins.
And if you’re starting to realize something needs to shift…
but you’re not sure what that looks like for you, this is exactly what we walk through together on a Faith Clarity Call.

You Don’t Need More Discipline—You Need Clarity
This is why I say this so often:
“Most women don’t need more discipline in their faith.
They need clarity.”
Clarity on:
- how they’re designed
- what actually works for them
- and how to build a rhythm that fits their real life
Because when you have clarity… consistency becomes easier.
Connection becomes natural.
And your faith stops feeling like something you’re trying to fix…
and starts becoming something that fuels you.
Your Next Step
If you’re reading this and thinking,
“Yes… this is exactly how I’ve been feeling…”
Then your next step is simple.
Take the Faith Shape Quiz.
It’s designed to help you understand
how you naturally connect with God…
so you can stop guessing
and start building a faith rhythm that actually fits your life.
A Final Thought to Sit With
If your faith feels harder than it used to…
it’s not necessarily a sign that something is wrong.
It may be a sign that something needs to shift.
Not your desire for God.
Not your commitment.
But your approach.
Because when your faith aligns with how you’re designed…
it doesn’t feel like something you have to carry.
It becomes something that carries you.
Before you go, I’d really love to hear from you…
What’s one area of your faith that used to feel natural… but now feels harder than it should?
You can share as much or as little as you want, I read every comment.
Be filled to overflowing,
