Transform Your Work in Just 10 Minutes a Day: Align Your Faith for Success!

August 19, 2025 by Deneen Troupe-Buitrago Leave a Comment

As a professional Christian woman in business, you may feel the weight of juggling your faith with the demands of your work. Many of us struggle with keeping these two parts of our lives in sync.

It often seems like faith and business belong in separate boxes—one sacred, the other practical. But

  • What if you could bring them together in a way that doesn’t add stress to your already full plate?
  • What if you could align your faith with your work in just 10 minutes a day?

I’ll show you how dedicating just 10 minutes a day to connect your faith with your work can help you feel more grounded, focused, and spiritually aligned with your purpose. Imagine starting each day with clarity, purpose, and God at the center of it all, empowering you to approach your work with confidence and direction.

Why Just 10 Minutes?
I know you’re busy, but what if I told you that just 10 minutes a day could transform the way you approach your business? The key is intentionality—those small, focused moments will help you connect to your higher purpose and guide your decisions with clarity and confidence.

Let’s dive in and see how these four quick practices can start shifting your work and business from the inside out.

1. Start with Prayer (3 minutes)

Prayer is the cornerstone of connecting with God. You don’t need an elaborate prayer time—just a brief, focused conversation with God. Begin your day by asking for His guidance, wisdom, and peace. You might say something like:

  • “Lord, I dedicate this day to You. Help me make decisions that honor You and align with Your will for my business. Give me peace and clarity in everything I do.”

HSHS Model

Since I talk about the HSMS Model™ let’s see how this looks specifically for you as either a Heart, Soul, Mind, or Strength-led person.

For the Heart-led: Since you thrive on emotional connection with God. Use your prayer time to connect with Him, asking for peace and direction.

  • “God, fill me with peace and direction as I move forward in my work today. Let me serve others with compassion.”

For Soul-Led: You find God’s presence in stillness. Take a moment of quiet and listen for His whisper, reflecting on the deeper purpose behind your work.

  • Sit in silence and ask God to reveal the deeper meaning of your work today.

For Mind-Led: I know you appreciate structure. Keep your prayer focused and concise, asking God for wisdom and clarity.

  • “Lord, guide my thoughts and actions today to reflect Your will.”

For Strength-Led: You resonate with action. Use a physical posture to pray, such as placing your hands on your work as a sign of surrender.

  • Take a stance of surrender and pray, “Lord, I give You this day. Use my hands and strength to do Your work.”

Quick Tip: If mornings are rushed, try praying during your commute, while having your coffee, or even during a quiet moment before you start working. The key is to make it intentional.

2. Reflect on a Bible Verse (3 minutes)

The Word of God is living and active, and it can shape our hearts and minds, guiding our decisions throughout the day. Take a moment to reflect on a Bible verse that resonates with your business journey or personal growth. Choose one that speaks to your purpose, decision-making, or mindset in your work.

For example:

  • “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3
  • “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23

For the Heart-led: Reflect on verses that speak to love, compassion, and relationships.

  • “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). Reflect on how you can infuse love into your work today.

For the Soul-led: Choose a verse that resonates with the deeper meaning of your work and your connection to God.

  • “The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing” (Psalm 23:1). Meditate on how this verse can give you peace and security as you work.

For the Mind-led: Choose a verse that provides wisdom or clarity for your decision-making.

  • “The plans of the diligent lead to profit” (Proverbs 21:5). Reflect on how this verse can guide your work with diligence and focus.

For the Strength-led: Choose a verse that speaks to endurance, action, and perseverance.

  • “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13). Reflect on how God gives you the strength to tackle your business challenges.

Take a few minutes to reflect on how the verse applies to your current situation. Ask yourself: How can I incorporate this truth into my work today?

Quick Tip: Write the verse on a sticky note or set it as your phone’s wallpaper for easy reference throughout the day.

3. Express Gratitude (2 minutes)

Gratitude helps shift your focus from what’s missing to what’s already been given. Take two minutes to thank God for His blessings in your work/business—whether it’s a client, leading your team, a breakthrough, or simply the ability to do meaningful work. This practice fosters a heart of thankfulness and can help you stay grounded throughout your day.

For example:

  • “Thank You, God, for the opportunity to serve my clients. Thank You for the ideas and creativity You’ve given me today.”

For the Heart-led: Express gratitude for relationships and emotional connections in your business.

  • “Thank You, God, for the opportunity to serve others with compassion and love in my business today.”

For the Soul-led: Express gratitude for the beauty and creativity that flow through your work.

  • “Thank You, Lord, for the creativity and inspiration You’ve given me today. May I use it to glorify You.”

For the Mind-led: Thank God for the wisdom and clarity you’ve received in your business decisions.

  • “Thank You, Lord, for the clarity and understanding You’ve provided. May I continue to make wise decisions.”

For the Strength-led: Thank God for the energy and perseverance He gives you to complete your tasks.

  • “Thank You, God, for the strength to complete the tasks before me today. Use me to serve others.”

Quick Tip: You can keep a gratitude journal where you jot down three things you’re thankful for each day. Reflecting on God’s provision and goodness creates a posture of peace and joy.

4. Take a Deep Breath and Reset (2 minutes)

Before diving into the hustle and bustle of your workday, pause for two minutes, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and simply be still in God’s presence. This moment of stillness helps you recalibrate and approach the day with a clear mind and focused spirit.

For the Heart-led: Focus on your emotional connection with God, allowing His peace to fill you.

  • Inhale deeply, imagining God’s love surrounding you. Exhale, releasing any tension or stress.

For the Soul-led: Focus on God’s presence and the deeper meaning of your work.

  • Inhale, inviting God’s peace into your heart. Exhale, letting go of distractions and focusing on His purpose.

For the Mind-led: Use this time to clear your mind of any clutter and focus on your business priorities.

  • Take a deep breath, focus on your goals for the day, and mentally reset for clarity and action.

For the Strength-led: Use deep breathing to physically release any tension and re-energize for the tasks ahead.

  • Take deep breaths to center yourself, focusing on the strength God gives you to move forward in your work.

Quick Tip: As you breathe deeply, also remind yourself that God is with you every step of the way, you’re not alone in this journey.
