Focus on the Work, make an Impact

June 4, 2019 by Deneen Troupe-Buitrago Leave a Comment

I have been trying to have more FOCUS in my own life and business. I am tired of doing little things here and there. I am frustrated trying to build a business on too many small ideas.

Are you good at doing a lot of things?

I realized, I am good at social media content, prioritizing my day, goal setting, action steps, and learning technology. I also realized I can take women on retreats and help them focus BUT I am still playing with all these fragmented pieces in my own business. I finally realized I was offering all the things I knew how to do and just dripping it out instead of having the impact I really wanted and knew God was calling me to have.

There is a shift. . . it happened first inside of me. (That’s the transformation part.) I asked God to help me live up to the word I chose for the year, IMPACT. And, the only way for me to have impact is to focus on ONE thing and move forward from there.

I want to share my transformation with you. I want to know if you are looking for transformation too.

Pre-work

It started with my beliefs in myself and in God. I asked myself, What is true? What am I believing about myself? What am I believing about God? AND, more important. . . What am I believing God believes about me?

With this as my basis, I entered the next part of my transformation. How has God designed me? How does that effect how I show up in my business? How does that effect how I connect to Him?

More work

Once I had these two things in place and understood my position in Christ I wanted more. Growth was essential to being focused. I needed to know what God wanted from me. Do you want an intimate relationship with God? Is the vertical relationship with Him the most important thing in your life? Do you want to serve God by serving others through your business?

Only then did real focus come into view. By getting my beliefs about myself and God in order, understanding God’s unique design for me, and growing in my relationship with Him could I see it. I knew what He wanted me to do, I knew how He wanted me to do it, and I knew He had given me the power to do it.

God’s work

God’s power is the Holy Spirit living inside of me. I love that I have access to this power because it takes courage to live the way God is calling me to live. It takes focus not only on the good things to do but on the BEST things to do. It takes focus on the goal God set for you, to do the work He planned for you.

Ephesians 2:10(NLT) For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

I have confidence that this ONE thing will make an impact. It is what I was designed to do. It is one in a line of good things God planned for me and it is my time to step into it.

Your work

What is exciting is that my work involves you. It is you who benefit from my transformation because it can be your transformation too.

God wants you strong in Him and that includes a right view of Him (and yourself), clarity about how He created you, and learning faith growth strategies that connect your heart to Him. THEN you will have focus on what it is He wants you to do and how to serve Him through your business.

Oh yeah, the best part? Blessings. God has promised them to those who study His commands and obey them.

Do you want to do MORE for God by having a FOCUS? Do you want to do the ONE thing instead of all the things you are good at doing? Let’s bring the pieces together for you. Schedule a Clarity Conversation if you are ready to get focused and be transformed to do your ONE thing.

Be filled to overflowing,

Deneen
